Cleaning with baking soda II

  • Tiles in the kitchen and bathroom can be cleaned with the mixture of baking soda and lemon juice. Hot water soften buildup on the tiles, and then rub with the prepared mixture, rinse and wipe dry with a towel.


  • Create a bio-baking powder, by mixing 2 parts of tartar, 1 part baking soda and 1 part cornstarch. In addition to the diet, baking powder can be used for home cleaning. It's great for removing stains from coffee or tea, not to bleach the color of the fabric.


  • Soak fruits and vegetables in a solution of baking soda. Soda will soften the water and wash it better. Rinse with plain water.


  • Oil stains and grease will be removed from the clothes if you add the baking soda in the water for washing.


  • Clean refrigerator and freezer: to damp cloth apply baking soda and wipe the surface. Rinse with plain water. The refrigerator and the freezer will not have unpleasant odors if you hold into an open pan with baking soda, which is necessary to stir occasionally. Replace it with a new amount of soda every two months.

In a washing machine always add a half cup of baking soda. Once every few months, clean the machine, by adding baking soda and let it runs with one empty washing cycle.

Easiest way to clean combs and brushes is with the baking soda solution. Pour into a bowl a warm water, add 1 tablespoon of shampoo and a half cup of baking soda. Soak brushes half an hour, rinse in warm water and pat dry. This mixture will clean the brushes and give them a fresh smell.

Marble surface wash in a solution of 3 tablespoons of soda per one liter of warm water. Allow ten minutes to act, and rinse with plain water. Plastic-coated chairs and tables clean with using a damp sponge with baking soda. To remove tough stains with this type of furniture, make a thick paste of soda and water and apply onto it, leave for a while and then rinse with water.
