Sodium bicarbonate is also useful in the care and maintenance of plants and flowers. You can use it to clean flower pots, remove dirt and parasites from the leaves, the addition the pinch of baking soda in water will increase the life of cut flowers.

Tips:

  •     Flower pots, wash inside and out with a solution of baking soda (2 tbsp per liter of water).

  •     Soft sponge soaked in a solution of baking soda: use it to remove dirt from the leaves of plants.

  •     For removing parasites from your plants, mix 1 teaspoon baking soda with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. 2 tablespoons thus prepared mixture, mix with 0.3 liters of water, fill the sprayer and spray the plant, while avoiding direct application to the flowers. Repeat this process every 20 days.

  •     To extend the life of cut flowers add a pinch of baking soda in a vase with water.
