Baking Soda as a Fungicide and Insecticide -

Baking Soda, or sodium bicarbonate, is a cheap and effective way to protect your plants against cabbage worm and mildew.
Baking soda acts as a fungicide and as an insecticide in the same time it acts antibacterial. Suppress mold, fungus, scab... If you sprinkle baking soda on the anthill, after a few days anthill is destroyed. Ants consume it what lead to the destruction of their gastrointestinal tract. On the leaves of plants acts as an unfavorable environment for the growth of mold and for the lice.

The solution of baking soda can be sprayed on all plants: vegetables, fruit trees, flowers ... Tomatoes and roses grow well. The best is to pray in the evenings! So far, we have observed adverse reaction - (folding - leaf rust) when using baking soda only in rare types of apple trees and pear. Nevertheless, we recommend that you use baking soda as spray from the month of May onwards, when the leaves are stronger and there is need to start spraying against insects. Until May, we more recommend eco spray with essential oils of cinnamon - to be preserved leaves on the plants healthy and beautiful.

Tested recipe for preparing spray solution with baking soda:
1. Bicarbonate of soda - one tablespoon per 5 liters of water ,
2. The second component is the oil (best to use olive oil, but it can be any edible). The oil has the function of adhesive spray that baking soda is not washed with morning dew and with the help of oil it sticks to the leaves. Two tablespoons per 5 liters of water is enough. Having more rainy weather it is better to add some more oil.
3. The third part is the soap, which has the function of the solvent, it sprayed oil over the amount of water. In the opposite case the oil slick floating on top of the water. Additional effect of soaps is that baking soda and oil spill nicer across the surface of the sheet. Add two tablespoons of liquid organic soap (recipe below).

All the ingredients mix together. To sprays solution of baking soda can be added a few drops of an essential oil of cinnamon for additional efficiency. Quantities of the individual components should not be exceeded, it may damage plant´s leafs!
